Community Research: The impact of River Nyamwamba

A team from Mother of Hope Foundation Uganda and researchers from Ndejje and Busitema University joined efforts for a feasibility study to understand the background and the current status of River Nyamwamba in Kasese district.
River Nyamwamba is one of the dangerous rivers in western Uganda that has contributed to displacement of people leaving them in a sorry state of poverty and rendering them homeless.
Waters from Mountains of Rwenzori gather together into the river and later on cause flooding. This has also affected farming leading to serious hunger hence high cost of agricultural products in the area.
